How long does it take to serve someone?
Regular service can be completed within 2-5 business days. Rush service can be completed from within one hour to 2 business days.
What types of documents are you able to serve?
We are licensed to serve a full range of court documents including summonses and complaints, small claims, cross-complaints, writs, garnishments, bank levies and all varieties of subpoenas.
What if the address I provide is bad?
We can obtain a new address for an additional fee.
At how many addresses will you attempt service?
Our fee is per address. We will attempt service at as many addresses as you desire (or as are warranted.)
How many times will you go to one address to attempt service?
We will make up to three attempts of service in metropolitan areas. After completing three attempts, we will prepare a Declaration of Due Diligence for you.
Frequency of service in rural areas is limited and arranged on a case-by-case basis.
What happens if the person or company cannot be served by the due date set by the court?
You will have to arrange for a new court date, and then submit a new request for service to our office.
Do you perform stakeouts?
Yes. We are able to perform stakeouts anywhere in the United States, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Fees begin at $95/hour ($125/hour outside California) with a 4-hour minimum.
Do you provide a Proof of Service Affidavit?
Yes. We will deliver it to you either via email or via the US Postal Service.
Does the proof or affidavit need to be notarized?
Only if you or your state requires a notarized signature. Please inform us of this requirement when placing your order. Additional fees apply.
Do you file the Proof of Service Affidavit?
No, although we can file it for you at an additional charge.
How long do I have to get my documents served?
Different counties and states have different rules. Consult the local court clerk (or our office) for specific details.
What if I submit my assignment after hours on a Friday? Will you attempt service immediately?
No. Any new service of process requests received after 4:30 p.m. PST/PDT will be assigned and dispatched the following Monday morning.
How and when do I make payment?
Payment may be made to our office after service has been completed. We accept payment by credit card, check, money order and electronic bank transfer. We will not release the Proof of Service until payment is received.
